This is what I consider to be the beginning of my collection. It was the day I officially decided to continue collecting pelts, mounts, skulls and any other animal tidbits I could find. The oldest piece at the time was my kangaroo pelt I got when I was 12 years old. I bought the silver fox tails when I was 15 and then Jynx came in March of 2012. Hera and the coyote tail were the final additions in June.

Between August and November I jumped from one pelt to fifteen. By this time, I'd moved out of my parents house, which gave me the opportunity to expand. I sold off my old toy collections to fund my venture. All pelts were purchased at market discounts, most costing under $90 a piece.

My birthday came and went, and with it the addition of a few new faces. The pelt count was now up in the twenties, and I was close to my initial cut-off limit of thirty animals. I was unable to photograph my collection properly anymore and had to take individual shots to capture the beauty of each animal.

An almost complete picture excluding Jynx, and Sarabi (who had been stuck in the post office for over a month). I took all the pelts down to re-organize the hook arrangement. They had expanded from one wall, to four: a wall for foxes, a wall for wolves, a wall for coyotes and a wall for miscellaneous animals.

Literally the night before Phantom and Balto arrived I took a full inventory picture (save for the squirrel in my freezer). I had to stand up on my dining room table to even get this shot. The perspective of the image makes the pelts seem smaller, but in reality that's about 15 feet of space used up for that display.
